Need advice on the best solution for larger construction projects?
Pennine Geotechnical Services have extensive knowledge of which solution works best commercially and environmentally in which individual circumstance.
Bored piling is a foundation construction method involving vertical drilling into the ground to create bore holes which are then filled with concrete or other cementitious materials and reinforced with steel. This creates a sturdy and robust support structure. Bored piling increases bearing capacity.
Comment from Pennine Geotechnical expert: Martin:
“We tend to advocate the use of bored piling during large construction projects, such as multi stories, when the vertical load of a building is often huge. Bored piling is also beneficial in difficult soil conditions and some confined space sites.”
