Works involving old or existing mining structures require geological sensitivity, geotechnical practical knowledge and a clear understanding of which solutions will bring about the best outcomes.
We are greatly experienced in the provision of drilling and grouting solutions at coal, limestone, ironstone, sandstone, chalk and fireclay mining and redundant sewers that may include stabilisation, remediation or infill work at collapsed, flooded or overburdened (sometimes deep) underground shaft or open mine structures.
Pennine work closely with the Coal Authority to gain knowledge and historic information, we can also provide the complete package for our clients from permits to completion reports.
“Mine drilling and grouting must only take place after comprehensive and historic research and testing into the structural integrity of the ground and surrounding environment. The proposed end use for the land affected by mining is also critical in the choice of works to be undertaken – commercial, industrial, housing developments all have individual requirements and, because of expertise in this field, we understand these needs and can therefore offer the right solution for our clients.”
